Distinguished members of the Turkish community in Kuwait,

Dear Kuwaiti brothers and sisters,

I have assumed my duties as the Turkish Ambassador to the Kuwait as of 1 July 2022.

I am very honored and proud to be the 14th Ambassador of Türkiye after opening of our resident Embassy in 1971 in the State of Kuwait, which we have common history, exemplary relations, and strong ties between people.

Our bilateral political, economic and cultural relations with Kuwait are progressing day by day in the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and His Highness Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The increasing contacts between the people of two country in recent years became the greatest complementary of our relationship and turned into a strong base which will ensure healthy improvement of our relations in the future.

The interest of Kuwaiti people towards Türkiye before, during and after the pandemic is the most obvious sign of this increasing contacts. Thanks to this interest, Kuwait became the country that sends most citizens to Türkiye in proportion to its population. We observe the same interest in Kuwaitis buying real estates in Türkiye.

With the effect of tourism and Turkish TV series, Kuwaitis and foreign residents in Kuwait show great interest in learning Turkish. We are trying to meet this great demand. In this regard, one of our priorities is opening Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center of which legal basis is almost complete.

Our other goal is to develop our economic and commercial relations, which have been making great progress recently, in a way that reflects their real potential. For this purpose, we will endeavor to increase the direct investments made in Türkiye from Kuwait and to facilitate the activities of our companies that have undertaken great and prestigious projects in Kuwait.

Therefore, we aim at further deepening our relations with Kuwait in every field.

Distinguished members of the Turkish community,

Our responsibilities towards our citizens constitute the most important part of our task in Kuwait. Our citizens is the most significant bond of brotherhood between Türkiye and Kuwait. I would like to underline that our door and telephone are always open and can be reached 24/7 in order to find solutions to the problems of our citizens during my term of office.

In addition, we will not hesitate to make all sacrifices for the Kuwait Turkish School, the only Turkish educational institution in Kuwait, to enable it can better serve our children and our society.

Last but not least, we will be pleased to receive your opinions and evaluations in all matters that you believe may contribute to the improvement of Türkiye-Kuwait relations. Your opinions and proposals are so invaluable for us. We thank in advance for the support in this matter.
