As you may know, Türkiye is among the top tourist destinations for Kuwaitis. Our Kuwaiti guests spend a relatively long time during their visits, with many choosing Türkiye for residential purposes. Thus, they already have insight into the quality and accessibility of medical care in Türkiye. This familiarity provides a strong foundation for further collaboration in the area of medical tourism.

I'd also like to underline that, as Türkiye, we not only offer world-class, affordable, and accessible healthcare but also consider the values and sensitivities of our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters so that they will always feel at home while receiving treatment.

Since my first day in Kuwait, I have always emphasized the importance of health cooperation between Türkiye and Kuwait, which I believe will benefit both sides.

H.E. Dr. Ahmad Al Awadhi, Kuwaiti Minister of Health, visited Türkiye on October 20, where he met with Turkish Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca. They discussed potential areas of cooperation, including medical tourism. During his visit, H.E. Minister Awadhi toured some Turkish hospitals and health facilities, witnessing up-close what Türkiye has to offer.

I want to express that the Turkish Embassy is at your full service to enhance this partnership.

Dear guests;

Türkiye offers more than conventional medical care. We invite Kuwaiti patients and tourists to discover unique tourism destinations where they can find joy and healing simultaneously.

As you all know, Türkiye is one of the leading tourism spots for quality wellness therapy, thanks to its thermal water potential with effective therapeutic properties due to its high mineralization content. With approximately 1,500 thermal springs, Türkiye ranks 6th in the world and 1st in Europe.

Before concluding my remarks,

I wish wellness for our brothers and sisters in Gaza who cannot access even the most basic medical necessities due to ongoing Israeli massacres. As Türkiye, we will always stand with them. I also commend the Kuwaiti leadership and Government for delivering much-needed medical equipment and ambulances to service of Gazan people. May Allah ease their suffering.
