Welcome to the Turkish Embassy.

Today we are thrilled by the
presence of Mr. Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu and his delegation.

Today’s Reception is a timely one as
the relationship between our countries has gained new impetus following the
visit of His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal to Türkiye last year, during which
several agreements in the areas of bilateral trade, defense industry and
investments were signed.

Most recently, our President His
Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah
Khaled on the margins of the 80^th General Assembly of the United
Nations.

I would like to stress that the
significance attached by the leadership of our countries to elevating the
bilateral relations is mutual.

As you will recall, we hosted three
other high-level guests here at our Embassy. During the visits of the President of the Investment and Finance Office, H.E. Burak Dağlıoğlu, Minister of Trade, H.E. Ömer Bolat and
Minister of Treasury and Finance, H.E. Mehmet Şimşek in the past two years, we
had held meetings and exclusive events where the business community of Kuwait
joined us.

At this exclusive Reception today, we
will have the privilege to listen to Mr. Dağlıoğlu’s speech and the
presentation of Country Advisor of Investment Office, Mr. Deniz on Türkiye’s
evolving economic landscape, global and regional economic trends. They will
elaborate the untapped potential before the Turkish-Kuwaiti business to
business relations and the vivid opportunities awaiting investors from Kuwait.

The discussions we will have
following the presentation and during the Q&A will give us further
opportunity to delve deeper into these issues.

Türkiye and
Kuwait are natural partners in every aspect. Our shared history, religious and
cultural affinity, common values and the vision, as well as our vibrant
business communities are the assets we can build our ties on.

We
collaborate across various sectors, including trade, defense, tourism, and
investment. Last year, our bilateral trade volume stood nearly 700 million USD.
Moreover, Kuwaiti investments in Türkiye have
reached nearly $2 billion Dollars, with 427 Kuwaiti companies operating in
Türkiye.

Of course, the
current trade volume and the investment figures fall short of reflecting this
true nature. Yet, what we need is to connect our businesses, strengthen
dialogue and build new bridges.

Today is
about unlocking that shared potential — not just through dialogue, but through
action. Let this event be an occasion for forging of new partnerships, bold
investments, and a future shaped by mutual growth.

I hope that
today’s event will serve this purpose and new ideas for further cooperation
will emerge out of our deliberations.
