It is a great honor to welcome you as we celebrate the
102nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye.

We are truly honored by the presence of His Excellency,
Minister Al Awadhi. His participation today reflects the deep and enduring
friendship between our nations. We extend our sincere gratitude for the
valuable contributions made to further strengthen our fraternal ties. Thank
you, Your Excellency.

At this point, I would like to take a moment to
address the members of the Turkish community in our native language. I trust
many of our friends will follow along—thanks to the cultural familiarity
brought about by popular Turkish television series!

Cumhuriyetimizin 102. yılını kutladığımız bu özel
günde, anavatanımızdan binlerce kilometre uzakta olsak da, Cumhuriyetin ışığı
bizleri burada bir araya getiriyor ve kalplerimiz aynı ideal etrafında
birleşiyor.

Bu anlamlı günde bizlerle birlikte olarak bu tarihi
coşkuya ortak olan siz değerli vatandaşlarımıza en derin şükranlarımı
sunuyorum. Şahsım ve Büyükelçiliğimiz adına Cumhuriyet Bayramınızı içtenlikle
kutluyorum. Hepinize sağlık, esenlik ve mutluluk diliyor, saygılarımı sunuyorum.

October 29 marks the day when the Turkish nation, with
determination and faith, rose from the ashes to build a modern state.

The vision of a Republic in Türkiye was born from the
embers of resilience, guided by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk across a war-torn
Anatolia where unity overcame despair.

With its proclamation, Türkiye swiftly secured its
political and economic sovereignty through bold reforms, emerging as a model of
self-determination for nations seeking full sovereignty.

We are celebrating the 102^nd Anniversary of
the foundation of our Republic, a century-old plane tree- anchored in
tradition, nourished by
deep-rooted heritage, and remarkably youthful in its vitality. We honor with
gratitude and respect Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic,
and all the heroes who dedicated their lives to our independence and freedom.

Esteemed Guests,

Türkiye and Kuwait share a longstanding friendship
rooted in mutual respect, shared values, and centuries of historical
connection. Last year, we marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the
diplomatic relations between our countries. We were honored to mark this
meaningful occasion through a series of celebrations, enriched by the generous
support and warm solidarity of our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters.

Under the leadership of President Erdoğan and His
Highness Amir Sheikh Mişal, our bilateral relations have reached an exemplary
level—serving as a model of regional cooperation and strategic alignment.

A defining
milestone in Türkiye–Kuwait relations was the historic visit of His Highness
Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Türkiye in May 2024. As his
first official visit beyond the Arab world in seven years, it signaled Kuwait’s
recognition of Türkiye as a strategic partner and ushered in a new era of
cooperation.

President Erdoğan’s
reciprocal visit on 21^st of October 2025 further consolidated this
momentum. We have signed several agreements with Kuwait in the fields of maritime,
transport, investment and energy. These Agreements lay the groundwork for
deeper collaboration between two countries in various sectors and contribute
meaningfully to Kuwait’s Vision 2035 development goals.

Kuwait’s swift and
heartfelt support following the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye was a
profound act of solidarity. We will never forget the kindness, generosity, and
empathy extended to us—it is etched in our collective memory as a symbol of
true brotherhood.

Guests,

Türkiye and Kuwait maintain aligned, principled
positions on key regional issues —particularly on Palestine and Syria—guided by
shared sensitivities and a commitment to justice. In these challenging times,
our cooperation is more vital than ever, and the continued dialogue between our
leaders offers meaningful contributions to regional peace and humanitarian
efforts.

As Türkiye, we firmly believe that all institutions entrusted
with the preservation of international peace and security—most notably the
United Nations Security Council—must act with urgency and responsibility to
prevent further destabilization in our region. In these critical times, the
international community must rise to its duty and take decisive steps to
safeguard regional stability and global order.

On this occasion, I would like to express my heartfelt
gratitude to the three activists Khaled Al-Abduljader, Abdullah
Al-Mutawa and Dr. Mohammad Jamal, who are among us here today, took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla, standing in
solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian people. Their courage and commitment
are deeply appreciated.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the
people and Government of Kuwait for their unwavering support for Gaza. Their
continued solidarity is a beacon of hope and strength.

Before I conclude my remarks, I would like to express
my personal gratitude for the warm welcome and generous support extended to me and
my colleagues at the Embassy by the leadership, government, and people of
Kuwait.

Today, we have a special display of Sultan
Abdülhamid the Second’s clock at the reception. I invite you to take a look at
it.

I am also honored to present the live exhibition of
“Traditional Turkish Arts and Handicrafts” in Reception Hall organized in
cooperation with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL).
I would like to also extend my deepest appreciation to our talented artists,
who came all the way from Türkiye,for their presence with us. You can visit the booths and enjoy the
beauty of fine arts and meet the artists. Tomorrow, we will have the opening of
the exhibition at the NCCAL, Modern Art Museum at 6 pm. You are all invited
there as well.

And while concluding, I would like to thank our generous

التُّرْكِيَّةِ، وَهُوَ يَوْمٌ يُمَثِّلُ الْقُوَّةَ وَالْكَرَامَةَ،
وَالْإِصْرَارَ عَلَى الْحُرِّيَّةِ وَالِاسْتِقْلَالِ.

يوما بَعْدَ يوم، تُصْبِحُ الْعَلَاقَاتُ بَيْنَ
تُرْكِيَا وَالْكُوَيْتِ أَقْوَى فِي مُخْتَلِفِ الْمَجَالَاتِ، بِفَضْلِ حِكْمَةِ
وَقِيَادَةِ قَادَتِنَا فِي الْبَلَدَيْنِ، الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ دَائِمًا عَلَى
تَعْزِيزِ الصَّدَاقَةِ وَالتَّفَاهُمِ بَيْنَ شَعْبَيْنَا.

في الكويت وتركيا تَجْمَعُنَا عَلَاقَاتٌ

وَالِازْدِهَارِ لِلْجَمِيعِ.

وَفِي مُقَدِّمَةِ هَذِا التعاون، تَأْتِي
الْقَضِيَّةُ الْفِلَسْطِينِيَّةُ، حَيْثُ نُؤَكِّدُ مَوْقِفَنَا الثَّابِتَ و
الراسخ في تحقيق سَلَامٍ عَادِلٍ وَشَامِلٍ وَدَائِمٍ.

ونَدْعُو بِالرَّحْمَةِ لِلضَّحَايَا
الْأَبْرِيَاءِ، وَنَسْأَلُ اللهَ أَنْ يَتَقَبَّلَهُمْ شُهَدَاءَ.

خِتَامًا،

كُلُّ عَامٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِخَيْرٍ،

وَكُلُّ عَامٍ و اوطاننا تَنْعَمُ بِالْأَمْنِ
وَالِازْدِهَارِ،

وعاشت الْأُخُوَّةُ التُّرْكِيَّةُ
الْكُوَيْتِيَّةُ قَوِيَّةً وَمُسْتَمِرَّةً.

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ
وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.
